COTA Exhibition - Beirut Campus

The Community Outreach Through Arts (COTA) is an initiative of the School of Arts and Sciences that enforces the role of academic institutions as promoters for community wellbeing through the use of Art. Paintings, drawings, photographs and other student's projects from fundamental courses in Fine Arts and Design are framed and distributed to vulnerable and/or underprivileged communities like hospitals, health care centers, orphanages, rehabilitation centers, and humanitarian and charitable organizations.

The Lebanese University of Beirut installs the values of generosity and social responsibility and contributes to the dissemination of Art and culture to reflect positively and contribute to a lasting social change with the communities and those of the beneficiary organizations. This year’s partners were: @Missionde Vie, @Skoun Lebanese Addictions Center, @Dar el Ajaza elIslamiya Hospital, @Ghassan Kanafani rehabilitation pre-school, @Amel Association, and @Dar elHAnane Orphan society.

Organized by the Fine Arts Club, (COTA) exhibition was held in Beirut Campus on Thursday, November 9th, at 11:00 in Block D, Amphitheater.
